After the million year mark, Holly allowed himself to be cautiously optimistic. They were making great time, and the cats were doing their best to repopulate. All right, so it'd be a bit of a different population that originally intended, but Holly didn't like to be pedantic.
The second million mark was the worst. Holly had gone through every possible gender option xe could find, but none of them made xem feel better. Things were not going great with the cats; they'd probably leave eventually, and then what?
