"Checkmate," he smiled as he moved his queen closer to the black king.
Impossible! The demon was scanning the board for any kind of escape. He still had a few black pieces left. But they were of no use. This had to be a nightmare. Except, he never slept. He didn't have dreams.
"I win! Finally!" squeaked Grell and fluttered his eyelashes. "What about a reward, Sebby?" he asked softly, pursing his lips.
Sebastian scoffed. How could a shinigami defeat him? He would never admit it but he was impressed. Nobody ever beat him in chess. He sighed. "Alright then."
