He was so used to living in London. You could see warning sings everywhere. “Mind the gap” in tube stations, “Mind your head” in buses. Even police warned you all the time. To be aware of pickpockets and stuff like that. It felt safe.
But when he left England, everything suddenly became dangerous. There were holes everywhere and also thieves. No warnings, though. No “Look right” or left on pedestrian crossings. No warnings at all.
And then, he finally saw a sign. “Beware of vampires! Enter at your own risk!” He just smiled and entered. It wasn’t a good idea.
