And the Wheels Go Turning
The dog tags on his rearview mirror clinked when he shut the door and his hands caressed the steering wheel as an old lover. He turned the key in the ignition and put the stick in reverse. He's drove this car far and wide across the continent. Yet today it was different.
He stopped in front of a familiar house, checked the time - perfect - and honked the horn.
When his nephews came barging out, he was standing on the sidewalk.
He tossed the car keys to the older one.
"Happy 16th, Philip. Treat her well for me."
The youngster frowned.
