"Not exactly," Lister hesitated, "I wasn't gonna go through with it."
"They sold you as a groom to the Kinitawowi as part of a scam. That's perfectly fine, then."
"We were desperate! Didn't your crew ever run into any savage GELF tribes?"
"No," she scoffed, "that's an offensive term. We traded with them; My best friend is Kinitawowi."
Lister sighed. His alternate was even better at fake weddings.
