In as much as there is always a lighthouse, there is always a fall. The difference, Chloe reminds herself, is intentionality. Or punk-assedness. Definitely the latter. 

It's not that she's convinced Max will save her. Again. It's that she's making the decision to trust she might. 

Max and her powers are not a parachute; they're not a magic shield or real life save slot. It's when you start thinking like that, you'll get in trouble. It isn't even love conquers all or any of that romance novel shit. 

She closes her eyes and lets go. It's simple. 

It's about choice.
